Terms of sale of family access

1. Who makes Girafoufou, and who sells it

Girafoufou is made and run by Marcel Venturino, a sole trader registered in France (entrepreneur individuel), 4th floor, 4 rue Papassaudi, 13100 Aix-en-Provence, France, SIREN 999 463 847. Contact: marcel@girafoufou.fr, +33 6 86 43 16 74. Full details are in our legal notice.

On this website, family access is sold by Link, a payments service of Stripe, as the seller of record: Link resells Girafoufou’s family access to you. You pay Link; Link collects the VAT or sales tax, sends your receipt and invoice, and its exact legal name is printed on them. Your bank statement shows “LINK.COM*” followed by our name. We remain responsible for the game itself: what it contains, its quality, and keeping it running.

2. What you buy

Girafoufou is a calm learning game for children aged three to six. The trial is free: the discovery offer, playable without an account and with no time limit, lets your child try a selection of games at their level. The full game is paid.

Family access opens all available activities in French and British English for the children of your family, on every device signed in to the same parent account. Changing the learning language does not require another purchase. Each language keeps its learning progress; the garden, earned stars and quiet time stay shared. These terms describe buying it on this website, from a parent account, in the parents’ corner. Family access bought in the App Store or Google Play is sold by Apple or Google, under their own terms.

3. Prices

  • £5.99 a month, with no commitment;
  • £49.99 a year;
  • £69 once, for “Nursery to Year 1”: 5 years of family access (see section 6).

Prices are per family and include VAT or any sales tax, which Link collects and pays to the tax authorities. Outside the United Kingdom, the checkout page may show the price in your own currency, converted by Stripe, before you pay.

4. Ordering and paying

You choose your plan in the parents’ corner, signed in to your parent account, after ticking the box by which you agree to these terms and ask for access to start straight away (see section 7). You are then taken to the checkout page operated by Link, where you pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, or another payment method that Link offers in your country. We never receive your payment details. Your receipt is sent by Link to the email address you give at checkout. Family access opens as soon as Stripe confirms the payment to us, usually within a few seconds.

5. Renewal and cancellation

  • Monthly or yearly, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, until you cancel it. Link emails you before renewals as the law of your country requires.
  • Cancelling takes a few steps, at any time: in the parents’ corner (“Manage or cancel my subscription”), or from your Link account at link.com. Family access stays open until the end of the period already paid, then stops. The current period is not refunded pro rata.
  • Deleting your parent account also stops your subscription, without a refund of the current period.
  • When family access ends, nothing is taken away from your child: their stars, their garden and their drawings stay; the game simply goes back to the discovery offer.

6. “Nursery to Year 1”

“Nursery to Year 1” gives 5 years of family access from the day of payment, paid once: from Nursery to Year 1, with room to spare for a little brother or sister. It does not renew: after 5 years, the game goes back to the discovery offer, without taking anything away from your child. If Girafoufou stopped running before the end of the 5 years, we would refund the remaining part, pro rata for the months not used.

7. Your right to cancel, and our 30-day guarantee

You can usually cancel an online purchase within 14 days. Family access is digital content supplied straight away: in the parents’ corner, before going to the checkout page, you tick a box by which you expressly ask for access to start immediately, and you acknowledge that you then lose your right to cancel (regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and the equivalent rules of your country). We confirm this agreement by email as soon as the payment is received, together with these terms.

Money-back guarantee: on top of these rights, for 30 days after your family’s first payment on this website, just write to marcel@girafoufou.fr to be refunded in full, with no need to give a reason. Family access then closes, without taking anything away from your child.

8. If something is wrong

Girafoufou must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose (Consumer Rights Act 2015). If it does not work as it should, write to marcel@girafoufou.fr: we will fix it, or make sure you are refunded for what you could not use. For a question about a payment, a renewal or a refund, you can also contact Link support at support.link.com; Link may refund a payment within 60 days in some cases. When a payment is refunded in full, family access closes, without taking anything away from your child.

9. Your personal data

What we keep, where and for how long is set out in our privacy policy. For a payment, we give Link the email address of your parent account, the plan and a family number with no meaning; never anything about your child. Link and Stripe use your payment details as independent controllers, under their own privacy policies.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you live in the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the part of the UK where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Before that, please write to us: most things are solved by an email. These terms apply to a purchase as they were written on the day of the order.
