Choose a preschool app by trying what your child will actually see: one instruction, one mistake and one stopping point. Check the price and privacy information yourself before handing over the device.

Can the child understand and stop?

Listen to the voice, look at the pictures and try a wrong answer. Is there time to think? Can you replay an instruction? Can you leave without losing something? Girafoufou uses spoken and written instructions, gentle retries and a daily nap after about 25 minutes. That product setting is not a medical recommendation for screen time.

Check the commercial and privacy details

Look for adverts, links out of the app, renewal terms and whether a child can reach a purchase. Girafoufou has no adverts or trackers. Purchases belong in the parents’ area. A parent account can synchronise encrypted profiles and progress when the shared-account feature is enabled; read the privacy page for the actual data flow.

Compare the job, not a badge

A dedicated reading game, an open-ended creative activity and a broad early-years app serve different purposes. Try a real activity from each before choosing. Girafoufou combines numbers, early English phonics, puzzles and creative play. It is not a validated phonics programme, and we do not claim a measured learning advantage over another app.
