Different puzzles, different questions
Jigsaws ask where a piece belongs. Mazes ask where a path can go. Matching pairs and shadows ask what looks alike, while tangrams and picture sudoku offer other ways to reason with shapes and pictures. Choosing a puzzle your child understands matters more than reaching the hardest version.
A challenge that can step back
The puzzle box can increase difficulty after several successes and ease it after too many mistakes. An error is an opportunity to try another place or path. There is no leaderboard or countdown to turn exploration into a race.
